Art Walk Exhibit

Our February Art Walk features t-shirts and other memorabilia from Emily Browne and other's collections of many, many years of feminist events. Come and take a look of history in T-shirts! Ask Emily about and event or a saying that gets your attention, hear the story from someone who were there, or share with Emily memories of common times. Would you like to bring a few items that you kept from a feminist event? Please do so! And ALL this while The Jazz Divas fill the evening with great music!

A comment from Emily Brown...

I wish I could report a witty or profound reason for the collection of the T-shirts, but it was just an accidental happening - nothing more, at least until I had achieved a fairly large collection. In the nineties, there were a few I collected when others cleaned house, but the rest I just gathered at events where people had fundraisers, etc. Little did I know the history I was documennting here! The passion, the hope for making the world a better pace for women, My life as a feminist activist has been the most fun part of it all!

Thanks, Emily
